Originally announced in 2015, the 33rd installment in HerInteractive's series of Nancy Drew adventure games will now be released on December 3rd, 2019, with preorders starting October 15th, and will feature the topic of the Salem Witch Trials. The game was delayed due to a decision to switch to a new engine, which may introduce new controls and platforms to the series.

Two months after the release of episode 1, the Life is Strange team has announced that the next episode will be released in January 2019, though a specific date has not yet been set.

According to DONTNOD:

“[W]e can now officially say that Episode 2 will be released in January 2019, but more will be unveiled in mid December, this year. We can’t wait to reveal more about ‘Episode 2: Rules’ to you soon! We’re truly very excited to show you what we’ve been working on and what’s in store for Sean and Daniel.”

The fifth and final episode of The Council will release on Tuesday, December 4th. The Council is a narrative game that utilizes traditional RPG mechanics to influence your ability to interact with an odd assembly of characters on a rich eccentric’s island. On a quest to find your mother, and uncover the secrets of the island and your host, you must navigate the politics of the island’s inhabitants without compromising your true objectives. Life is Strange 2 will follow the story of Sean and Daniel, brothers on the run from Seattle to Mexico. You play as the older brother and must guide the development of Daniel as you come to terms with your new status as outcasts. The game will explore telekinesis, rather than time travel, and uses a newer version of the Unreal engine. The developers have also mentioned that you will be able to walk around and explore as you talk to people for a more immersive experience.

The fourth episode of The Council will be released on September 25th. According to Twitter, “Allegiances will be explained, rivalries will come to a head and your decisions will haunt you as you decide the fate of Louis, Mortimer, and the world itself.”

Announced by DONTNOD at E3, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a new demo in the Life is Strange universe that will be available for free on June 26th, 2018. It seems the demo will serve as a sort of cryptic preview for what may be explored in Life is Strange 2.

When we say “In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems,” we mean it. Take a trip down a rabbit hole of murder and mystery inspired by some other modern classics — Twin Peaks, Stephen King, and the X-Files. The game initially follows agents Ray and Reyes as they investigate a body found in the river just outside the town of Thimbleweed Park. Players can freely switch between the two of them and solve puzzles to try and find out who murdered the poor guy under the bridge. But then things get weird.
