Ball State University’s E.B. and Bertha C. Ball Center is home to a not-so-well-kept secret—Magna cum Murder Crime Writing Festival. For more than 20 years, Magna’s reputation has spread globally since its association with CRIMEFEST, one of Great Britain’s most highly respected crime writing conferences. This collaboration has brought crime fiction readers and writers from all corners of the world to Monument Circle each October for a weekend of panels, book signings, and camaraderie.
